Materials commonly used in frozen food packaging bags

At present, frozen food packaging bags on the market can be mainly divided into single-layer packaging bags, composite packaging bags, and multi-layer composite packaging bags. Composite soft plastics, which are widely used in frozen food packaging bags, also have various combinations in material structure. So, what material is good for vacuum packaging bags for frozen food?

1、 PET/PE, this material structure is commonly used in packaging of frozen food products, with good moisture resistance, cold resistance, and low-temperature heat sealing performance. The production cost is also relatively low, using packaging plastic and food grade materials.

2、 BOPP/PE and BOPP/CPP, the two structures of frozen food packaging bags, have excellent moisture resistance, cold resistance, high low-temperature heat sealing tensile strength, and good economy. It is worth mentioning that BOPP/PE material has a better hand feel than PET/PE, which is conducive to product marketing.

3、 PET/VMPET/CPE, BOPP/VMPET/CPE, and three-layer packaging bags are more sturdy and stable in terms of double-layer structure, with high barrier performance. In addition, the presence of aluminum plating layer makes them have outstanding advantages in printing performance. However, compared to the above materials, the low-temperature heat sealing performance is slightly worse and the cost is higher.

4、 PA/PE, PET/PA/LLDPE, PET/PA/AL/PE, PA/PE, these four types of material structures are more resistant to freezing, impact, and, combined with the excellent puncture resistance of the PA layer. The drawback lies in the high production cost, which is generally used for packaging food products with edges or heavy weights.
